Every frame description includes nose fit and frame width.
Oscar Magnuson eyewear comes in four frame widths: narrow, medium, wide and oversize. It’s down to personal choice, but generally a narrower fit will suit a narrower face and the same applies for wide. Oversize frames are designed to suit all face sizes. It can be useful to use an old frame for reference. Frame width is measured in mm and is taken from the two outer points of the frame.
|Narrow nose fit||Medium nose fit||Wide nose fit|
It’s generally thought that size of eyewear corresponds to size of face, but this excludes the appeal of oversize styles and individual taste. In fact, it’s more important to choose your eyewear based on nose fit. This prevents slippage and ensures the eyes are perfectly centered in the frames. Oscar Magnuson eyewear features three nose fit sizes. Check the product page description of your preferred frame. Please let our customer support team know if you have any questions regarding sizing.

How to take care of your Oscar Magnuson frame.
To maintain the condition of your eyewear, we recommend giving them a gentle rub with this micro-fibre cloth every day of use. This cloth doubles up as a pouch to keep your eco-leather eyewear case from wear and tear. Avoid using soap and water or any strong chemical cleaner. Instead, when the build up of deposits becomes noticeable, visit an optician for a qualified and complementary lens-out cleaning service. Keep eyewear out of extreme sunlight and heat to avoid risk of distortion. To extend your frames´ lifespan, always place them in their Oscar Magnuson case when not in use.
How to adjust your frame for better fit.
The temples and front can with professional care be adjusted to better fit. If your frames need adjusting, please see a professional optician, we do not recommend that you try to adjust the frames yourself.

About Oscar Magnuson
Headquartered in Stockholm, Oscar Magnuson Spectacles was founded by its namesake in 2006.
Contemporary art, design, fashion and music are all influential on Oscar Magnuson’s expression. ”My style of design is an ever-evolving result of the impressions in my surroundings and of the many years of experience as a designer”, he says.
The OM collection is defined by its expressive yet pure and balanced design and subtle palette of monochrome colours. All frames, made from eco-friendly acetate, are handmade by highly skilled craftspeople who carry out the many stages of the production in the company’s Italian factory. Sunglasses are fitted with premium high precision optical glass lenses.
Our commitment to the environment
Oscar Magnuson is an ethical and environmentally forward-thinking company. All eyewear frames are made from plant-based bio-acetate and all lenses are made from BioNylon, also plant-based. We take pride in presenting our products in minimalist packaging to reduce waste. Oscar Magnuson strives to use natural materials and processes with minimal waste.
All Oscar Magnuson frames are formed from an environmentally sound bio-acetate called M49. It is composed of a cellulose acetate combined with a plasticizer of vegetable origin. The cellulose originates from wood pulp sourced from Forest Stewardship Council plantations – a renewable and environmental source. The plant-based plasticizer improves workability, flexibility and toughness. M49 bio-acetate is biodegradable – it meets the UNI-EN-ISO 14855-2: 2018 standard. Bio-acetate is the most environmentally sound material for eyewear from production through to end of use. Read more about M49 here.
BioNylon Lenses in all Oscar Magnuson frames
BioNylon is made with an ecological resin derived from castor oil. The castor plant is grown in semi-arid areas which do not compete with farming crops. An electrical press is used in production lines and the entire production process requires less energy that the production of a classic lens, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions. BioNylon has excellent transparency and light transmission; high chemical, thermal and stress resistance; is BPA and phthalate free and fully recyclable.
Oscar Magnuson frames come in beautiful vegetable-tanned leather cases sourced from a local Swedish eco-processing tannery which works only with byproduct material. Packaging is kept to an absolute bare minimum to reduce waste.
Made to Last
Oscar Magnuson eyewear is designed and crafted with meticulous attention to detail and an exceptional level of quality. With the proper care, these high quality precision frames will last a long time. That’s part of the plan.
All in Europe
Oscar Magnuson eyewear is designed in Sweden and made in Italy. Choosing European suppliers helps us to reduce our C02 emissions.
